Wrist Cuff Blood

Wrist Cuff Blood
Is it possible the size of my arm could be throwing off my blood pressure reading?

I have a Blood Pressure Monitor that is an Omron wrist monitor and have found its slightly lower but relatively accurate with the doctors reading. However, i will use a cuff store bought monitor and get readings absurdly higher, for example 164/111 while I get 128/90 on the wrist monitor. I had one of my grandparents try both to see what happened to them and their readings between the two monitors did not differ. How is this possible? I do have a relatively chubby arm, could it be possible its hard for the monitor to get through to my artery to get a true reading? or maybe something else?

Yes, there are various sizes of cuffs. A regular size cuff will give you a higher reading with a “chubby” arm vs a large adult cuff. Try a large adult cuff than compare that with the wrist monitor they will propbably be very similar.
