What do you think of the new government guidelines for health care of women?
So now the government says that women should get a mammogram every two years, and today announced a new guideline that women between 20 and only should have a Pap smear every two years. This is crazy! What do you think about this? Is it a coincidence that these new guidelines that could restrict the emerging preventive care as Congress is debating the cost of the option of "public"?
It makes me angry, because most women who get Gonorrhea / chlamydia find out through a Pap test incidental. So perhaps someone could go two years before they know they have chlamydia, so that that time is infertile, or instead are presented with a complication wrong. I think that especially for the young, sexually active women, this is outrageous to say a young man of 17 who are sexually active should not get a Pap smear – because that's usually when they get their STD screening. Perhaps the government is trying to control the population? eh? Probably not, but that is my anger.
