Why is Congress involved in sports?
I thought the reason for the congress was to make and pass legislation to help America and people who live here, so how is vital to the American people know why the videos for "spygate" or steroid issues in the Baseball is so important to the health and welfare of the rest of us? With so many people with a job and without health care shouldt these people who choose to do somethng to take care of the real problems.
Baseball has an exemption under the Sherman Act and Clayton Anti-Trust Acts. Congress wrote and passed the exemption. If baseball is not due diligence, then Congress can end the exemption and the league system that is broken in the process. That's why the hearings are are going on.
