What causes high white blood count and high sed rate?
hello, I have been sick for several weeks now. First I had a bad cold then the flu. It has been two weeks since the flu and my body still aches. I am talking I cant lift my 15 month old son from his crib because my fingers and wrists hurt. I hurt everywhere. I went to the doc and he ran blood tests. He said everything came back normal except high white blood count and high Sed rate. He has no clue whats going on….Can anyone give me some answers???? ~still in pain
You may consult your haematologist for further detailed investigation and necessary treatment.
You may perhaps have to go for an expert pathologist analysis of your WBC smear for any immature cells, cells with irregular morphology, with anisocytosis and poikilocytosis etc. which may also be responsible for the high ESR.
