where do i get portable device which give the reading of the blood sugar or insulin level help me pls?
in the latest news i heard that they invented a device for dection of sugar /insulin levelwhich by wearing gives a accurate count of insulin level……and same as the blood pressure can be know with a small device as like that of a wrist watch.. i will be glad if i get that product….for my mother is a diabetic patient and she cant not move always to hospitals for her insulin check up
Go to the drugstore and ask. They sell many types of little tiny machines that can help you keep a check on your mothers blood sugar levels.
Usually if your mom is a insulin dependent diabetic medicare will pay for the machine, the test strips and all.
All you do is use a small pinlike device to puncture a spot on your mom’s finger. There is a strip that you insert in a machine, or even a machine that you place near the blood, that will read the blood sugar level.
Most diabetics have them and check their sugar levels before each meal and at bedtime.
The only machine to wear is very expensive. It is an insulin pump and I dont think your mother would qualify for that. It delivers insulin to your body and you regulate it. But your mom does not need this.
Check with the pharmacist. They will lead you in the right direction and teach you how to use the machine.
