1. The pressure difference in Pa is g * density (kg/m^3) * height difference (m) = 30870 Pa. Total pressure at the heart is 9.8*1050*3 + 8000 = 30870 + 8000 = 38870 Pa. (You can convert to Torr.)
2. A floating entity displaces its weight (of the medium it floats in). This entity displaces 0.95 * its volume V * density of water. Thus its weight is 0.95*V*1 so its density is 0.95V/V = 0.95.
