what can i do to help my drug addicted friend?
i met him in the mental hospital because, the same as me, he has depression and psychosis. He’s done pretty much everything: Cannabis, Heroin, Crack, Shrooms, Ecstasy etc. although he’s addicted to the opiate Methadone.
I don’t know how to help him. He’s only just turned 18 and has been kicked out of his home. He’s a good guy, but the drugs have taken over. He says she’s been off everything (apart from Cannabis) for a month now. He’s really trying to get his life back. Is there anything I can do to help? Or some personal experiences might be helpfull too?
I had some answers before saying i shouldn’t get involved. But in the hospital he saved my life, so now its my turn to save his.

from my experience you cant help someone who doesnt want help. he needs to be ready to get help. it sounds like hes on the right track but it takes a very long time to overcome those addictions. just be careful that you dont get hurt . in order for him to be clean he needs to get off everything. b ecause sooner or later it will trickle back to him the other drugs again. be a friend to him. thats what he really needs right now is someone to care, and to make him care about being clean good luck
