What is the meaning of for perspective in this paragraph:
“For perspective, the U.S. Guides to Community Preventive Services uses a benchmark of US$50,000 – $100,000 per QALY saved to determine cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions.”
In this context, it means “as a guideline” the organization is using the benchmark (benchmark = figures stated to evaluate various aspects of their service) to determine the best cost effective methods.
