Why does he do this? Is he mad or bad?
My Mums partner is 45, she is 67. He has always been a bad tempered control freak, but my mom wont leave hima sshe thinks she needs a man. I visited her yesterday to find that he had been out with the sellotape and had taped up the hot water heater at a level he saw fit for it to be at and also switched the central heating off and taped it down so she could not use it. Same with heater and washing machine. she pays the bills, he lives there with her!! turns out he does this from time to time along with checking the electric meters before he goes out to see how much is being used qhilst he is out. My mom is conditioned into thinking this normal after so long, how do I help???.. This guy also picks on people that cant stand up for themselves such as really small guys and kids.
This guy is bringing your mom down fast, i would just talk to her heart to heart, at her age she should know this isn’t healthy for her, get her out of the house and show her a nice time, i kinda was in the same spot with my mom, he wasn’t that controlling, but he wasn’t right for her, alot of drinking, leaving her home to watch his sick mother while he was out with friends all day, coming home drunk, telling her what and how to shop for food etc..the short of it is i went to get her to spend time with me and she soon realized she could do better, and she found someone who really treats her like a human being and she has been with him for 11 yrs and happy, happy. good luck to you.
