Really worried I might have Mastitis?
Hello!! I just so happened had check my temperature with an old thermometer like 10+ years old and it read that my temperature was 100.8 degrees I just had my baby boy on Sunday. I was surfing Google and I click on Mastitis and breast infection and I believe that what I have here are my symptoms::
sore nipples
fever
hurt when breastfeeding
chills
headaches
fatigue
I’m really worried I don’t know what to do im going to call my health provider tomorrow I keep checking my temperature and it still the same. I’m still breastfeeding him I hope no harm will come to him out of that. I think its on left breast I feed him on that breast all the time and that’s because its uncomfortable to feed on the right and he sense that on me and he wont take the right breast.
mastitis doesn’t generally cause fever. Usually the affected breast becomes tender, and often red and too firm to the touch. Use warm compresses before you nurse the baby, it will help. The doctor can give you something to clear it up quickly.
